Ceramic and Porcelain Vases
MUAS vases are handmade in Warsaw — from the first sketch and the search for balanced proportions to casting, finishing and firing. We approach them as sculptural objects for everyday interiors: quiet in form, expressive in detail and constantly changing with the light. Made in small series or to order, each piece has a character of its own.
Form, light and space
A vase can be more than a vessel for flowers. It can organise a space, hold the light and subtly change the atmosphere of an interior. This is how we think about MUAS vases — as functional objects whose presence gradually becomes a natural part of a place.
We look for proportions that feel distinctive without dominating their surroundings. Surfaces that reveal their details slowly. Forms that remain complete both with and without flowers.
Handmade in Warsaw
Every vase passes through many stages in our Warsaw studio. Forming, casting, refining the surface, decorating and firing all require time and attention.
Traces of the handmade process are not imperfections. Subtle variations in colour, illustration and surface make every piece an individual object.
MARUI
The first form in our vase collection is MARUI — a sculptural object made from coloured porcelain and inspired by the Japanese idea of the space between things.
The cream MARUI KOI is decorated with koi drawn by Kati, transferred onto the surface by hand and carved into the porcelain. Every piece is made to order and receives its own individual number.
